I made Halloween cupcakes

...because they don't celebrate Halloween in Singapore.

...because they don't make anything pumpkin-flavored to celebrate "fall".

...and because I needed an excuse to make homemade cream cheese frosting.

I think any of those excuses shall work.

Everyday is a good day when you get to eat cream cheese.

Wow. You just really made me miss home!

I don't much care for candy corn, but I love pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread, and I used to buy a container of that sweet cream frosting and eat it straight with a spoon with coffee sometimes. I just love it!

I don't recall seeing anything like that here at all. Baked goods seem so rare, other than lunchy type breads. Maybe I'll get lucky? Meh.

Hilary, I don't even know when it started, but every year when it hits October, I start craving pumpkin-flavored food like crazy. It's like I've been programmed to expect it. I'm still trying to find a good pumpkin soup recipe. I had it once from a restaurant and loved it.

I'm pretty sure you're right about PW posting a recipe similar to the cupcakes. (This one in particular is from Real Simple). I love PW's recipes too! Isn't she awesome? Everything we've made of hers has been delicious and simple to make. Have you checked out her recipe site called Tasty Kitchen? It'll give you dinner ideas for months.

Brad, that's funny that you say that because my husband is the same way with frosting. He eats it by the spoonful or stirs it in his coffee. I like frosting, but I can't eat that much at once.
