My New 'Do

Singaporean heat inspired me to chop all of my hair off. My husband making me an appointment finally gave me the courage to let a Singaporean cut it off.
Now, I take back all those doubts I had about Singaporean hair stylists. Shirley (of Kim and Shirley's Salon on base) did an awesome job and I really really LOVE it! She was the most meticulous person I've ever had cut my hair and she even gave me a scalp massage during the shampoo. It was much appreciated. I was a tad nervous (but I wouldn't tell her or Aaron that). The haircut took about 2 hours. No jokes. Two reasons: 1) I had that much hair and 2) She washed, cut, re-washed, dried and flat-ironed my hair. How much did dear sweet Shirley charge for all of this? About $25. Is Shirley an angel from God? Yes. Why, yes she is.
We were going to attempt to donate the massive mound of cut hair to Locks of Love, but my length needed two more inches to be considered. I was sad to have my unintentional good deed of the day not work out. Boo.

$25 for two hours worth of labor?! You couldn't take a puppy for grooming at PetSmart for $25! You look beautiful! Glad you found someone that you're not scared of. I can't believe you didn't have enough for Locks of Love. It seemed long enough. ?

Megan, I love your new haircut! It looks glamorous and sophisticated at the same time. I'm just glad your husband made the appointment and didn't volunteer to cut it for you - like you did for him! ;) Hope all is well in Singapore - we miss you at bunco! (you should totally start a singaporian bunco group!)

Hi, friend of Cori's...and secret "blog lurker of yours". :) When I was reading Cori's post about your hair I thought "no way did she cut off her hair, it is so cute, what a mistake!" but I was wrong...you look awesome. It is super cute!
oh and I think the world of Cori, but I just can't follow her lead and recommend anything that early in the morning, especially not excercise. :)

So I showed the kids this pic of you, and Aidan's only comment was, "So at school they showed us the correct way to use scissors."

Megan you look great! Love it! And, I too, would have to disagree with Cori. Take advantage of sleeping in while you can... pilates can wait!

Okay Nickie and Tracy, kindly stop repeating the little voices in Megan's head. :) I don't think she needs exercise, I think she needs socialization. My sis is lonely! And she has been unable to find a way to meet new people. Gosh, I'm not a crazy workout masochist.

Thanks guys for the compliments. I'm really really loving how much easier it is to take care of too. Rachel: I hear there is a bunco group already, but I haven't found them yet. Tracy and Nickie (nice to meet you by the way): I agree, only crazy people get out of bed that early to exercise. Erin: Thanks! I told you I'd finally get the guts to do it! Sis: I promise to try to find another community activity in order to make friends. :)
