I'm a Pepper, Singapore is Not a Pepper

Singaporean woman at my office: This lady always drink Dr. Pepper with her lunch. I do not know how she do that. Dr. Pepper taste like medicine I take for cold.

Me: So you're saying that you have really delicious medicine in Singapore then?

Singaporean: No, lah! It does not taste good. I no like Dr. Pepper because it taste bad like that.

Me: I'm sorry, I don't follow you. Dr. Pepper is delicious and I think I need to find this medicine you speak of.

Singaporean: Oh no. It no good.

I honestly think I live in an alternate universe. I have never heard disdain over the 23 delicious flavors of this lovely soft drink. I'm quite confused. I sat in the break room for about 15 minutes pondering this conversation after everyone left. I just couldn't believe my ears.

This is Jaime--I broke into Travis's account. I am not a fan of Dr. Pepper; however, have you had the new Dr.Pepper with cherry?! Very Good! It will probably taste llike cherry halls to your coworkers....

Kristen, it is my "cocaine" as well. Sis, I know, I tell them that they keep spitting lies at me. It just makes them laugh. (Further proof that they're evil.) Jaime, you're a little weird for not liking regular DP, but the cherry flavored is pretty good. I like the vanilla flavored better though. However, the chocolate covered cherry one was disgusting. It was like drinking carbonated spit from a Cherry Tootsie Pop.

but I know where your co-worker's coming from. It does taste like the chinese med we take for our coughs and sore throats....

But I love it the moment I tasted it 4 years ago in Austin....(maybe it reminded me a little of home...the Chinese cough syrup, I take) =P

I found this post by googling "Dr. Pepper in Singapore." I've been here since June 3 and haven't had a fix. Can you tell me where you get it? I've looked at every Cold Storage I com across, no luck.

Think I've seen it at Carrefour or Mustaffa. Not much of a DP fan myself, but my favourite's still Hawaiian Punch, so I guess its from the same DP family :P
